"Good afternoon, Ma," Joseph greets Rachel at the entrance of the hall, where the special Mother's Day luncheon is ongoing.

"Hi, Joseph. How are you?"

"Fine, Ma," he bows humbly.

Rachel nods her approval. "Well done on organising this."

"Thank you, Ma," he beams.

Rachel enters the hall and takes her place among the guests of honour. Lolu's on the podium addressing the moms and sponsors in attendance. Rachel looks on proudly.

"Our Moms in Need Initiative is not so much about charity as it is about empowerment. Our beneficiaries are able women, strong women, who are diligent and resourceful, using their talents to provide for their homes." Her eyes roam around the hall as she continues, "The problem lies in the culture and societal structure in which they find themselves, which, rather than enhance, hinder and frustrate their efforts to flourish. We want to be the difference, the place that recognises their value and supports them to achieve their potential, and we invite you to join hands with us to make their hustle count."

A round of applause follows, but Lolu isn't done. She goes on to tell her captive audience how the programme is to be structured, the kind of support available to single mothers and widows, and ultimately, what Haven for Moms hopes to achieve through this and other social initiatives the founders will be setting up to make H4M more than a spa, but a real haven for all moms.
